free feral kittens! like parkdale isn’t crazy or makes you feel crazy enough. jesus. these guys just roam free and mew their brains out. old coot bubbles next door feeds and keeps them alive, multiplying. come by take some please.

just playing and wrastling in the sun. adorable.

there’s ten of them. maybe more. not even including the adult ones that laze around. at least 30 of those guys.

  4. Yikes, that is a lot of kitties. I mean adorable, yeah, but seriously. Have they tried like, trapping the adults and neutering/spaying them? That Price is Right old guy would so not be impressed.

  12. The Humane Society will trap them, neuter and vaccinate them, and release them. Feral cats can’t really be “rescued” ’cause they’d just maul anyone who adopted them. It’s not necessarily too late for the kittens, if someone takes them in and they’re getting at least SOME human contact. My cat is nearly feral — we adopted her when she was a kitten, but not young enough that she adjusted well. Damn, my cat has some serious emotional issues. No one can go near her but me without risking severe injury.

  13. I remember all the black and white cats that lived around our old place in Parkdale 8 years ago. We did take one in, but unfortunately she got hit by a car the next year.

  14. I do think you should call someone – there has got to be a kitten rescue that could spay/neuter. I work for a cat rescue organization in BC and it’s crazy the amount of kittens a cat can have in one year…there are already too many unwanted pets.

  15. Sorry you’re experiencing that… about 3 years ago some irresponsible people that live across the street from my mom got 2 cats and completely abandoned them.

    My mom and brother started feeding them and within a year there was a population explosion. Now, there are 5 cats that live inside with my mother and 11 that just camp around her house waiting to be fed! 3 more live with my brother and I out in the country…

    She and my brother collected them all up one by one and had them spade and neutered. There are certificate programs in the States where vets perform the surgeries for free.

    Yeah, seriously- you should see how much they spend a month feeding those things. Nauseating! Not to mention the 2 dogs and blue and gold Macaw…

  18. I think that lady used to come here, and did a good job of getting rid of them and then got in a fight with the guy in the apt building AND the landlord next door. I think there was one female left before all that shit went down.
    Holy shit that is insane, we didn’t have that many before ever.

  22. the kittens are havin a fuckin ball you guys need to relax. they’re safe, they’re fed. they roam. in a pound they’d be executed. parkdale has bigger probs than ten little kittens to deal with. right now they’re rolling around like it’s a kitten calendar for cuteoverload for instance. sadly i do not even have time to deal with it. if you’re staunch cat crusaders and are serious then you can email me about it and ill let you deal with it instead of blog lectures which i already pre-emptively said relax about in the post. there’s reality here and there’s idealism.
