What am I talking about. I hardly care about “I Am Legend”. The thing I will never forgive is what they did to “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”.
But blarg! I’ve been waiting for this movie forever. And now I have to wait until next March!? Grr!
i LOVED what they “did” to hitchhikers…
I liked the first half. I loved the actors they chose (especially Zooey Deschanel because she’s my girlfriend), so I was expecting it to be super awesome. But they cut off so many of the jokes from the book in a way made them fall flat, and I never thought of Zaphod as actually stupid, just egotistical. The plot they added wasn’t really fleshed out too well, either. Makes me embarrassed that I grabbed up “questular” on every e-mail/social/IM site ever as soon as I learned the character’s name.
If I hadn’t read the books, listened to the radio series, watched the BBC series 8000 times, I probably would have liked it better. But when you can quote entire chapters of something in the exact rhythm of the author himself reading the book…
Okay, end Hitchhiker’s Rant. I am a giant nerd. Proven.
hitchhiker’s movie sucked so terribly ridiculously bad and the books are so good why’d they even do that. who did the hitchhiker’s movie?
trippy lookin rabbit hole, johnny depp kinda looks like that queer reprise of willy wonka that he did though. ergo, might suck.
