that cam job paid us $20 an hour then after 4 blocks of 10 mins of private time was spent on us we would make commission off purchases so some nights you made more, other nights you would just make your wage. One of my nights was notorious bc a guy in Wales bought my entire shift which was a 6 hour shift I made like $5k that night the bosses hopped out of their hot tubs up north and floored it to the city the guy kept charging his credit card, everyone was really proud of me that night lol they couldn’t believe it and I didn’t even have to talk to the guy just typed because the phone connection on his end wouldn’t work. Girls on the same shift just slept in their rooms, everyone was parked in my room watching the tiny video window to my feed.

I had no clue you were doing cam work back then – I hope you were making all the money! I sometimes lament not harnessing that back then when I had nothing to lose, while working the lowest paying jobs ever. Also, Merkley!!! I forgot about him – sorry he became a dipshit!

Reading this makes me happy. I read your blog for a few of the early years, starting when I got to law school in 2000. You helped inspire a shamelessly irreverent arc in my life. It’s been a trip – success, addiction, sobriety, marriage, a beautiful son, wife’s mental illness, move from Canada to EU, relapse and Brasileiras, wife’s suicide, sobriety, career destruction and transition, cool gf, Africa. My son is the light of my life. We’re finally having fun. It’s been a good album. Love from PT ❤️

You know when your favourite TV series ended their last season and then teases it’s coming back next year…. but it takes a few years than what was expected?

This post had that fulfilling energy of when it did finally drop and manage to capture in full circle all the things we missed and the nostalgia as a reader one would have vicariously reading through your experiences.

While you (don’t we all) have changed from the passage of time your unique voice hasn’t.
