That is a print or knock off of “Arnolfini and His Wife” by Van Eyck. One of my favorites. It’s also a tiny painting in real life. The wife is not actually pregs although she looks like it. Also, now all I can think about is champagne. mmmmm. cute post!

Oh the stories I could tell…another time we had a fire alarm go off at about 3:00am in the middle of a frigid Febuary morning. It ended up being a false alarm (thankfully). About a hour later a drop dead beautiful young woman staggered through the front doors of the hotel wearing nothing but a see-through negligee. Being the gentleman I am I ran over to help her and she managed to stammer through chattering teeth ” Is it ok to come in now”? It turned out she had been standing outside all that time after she evacuated during the alarm through a rarely used fire escape. Omg she was BLUE! She ended up just fine though.

That lost key video brought back alot of memories for me. I used to manage hotels in a previous life and I can’t tell you how often that happens. At least you had robes on…more than once I had guests lock themselves out buck naked. I actually had a very attractive woman once come down to the front desk with nothing but a hotel brochure covering her frontage to get a new key…made my day.
