Maybe desperate is the wrong word, I simply love how you are gunning for life, taking hold of every opportunity and generally working your ass off, while not being ashamed of wanting attention or getting the attention you deserve. Upon looking up the definition I see you are right, but there is one meaning on the list that I think could apply perfectly: “showing extreme urgency or intensity especially because of great need or desire”…
