Most people I’ve met in Thunder Bay, when I tell them, “I just moved here from Toronto” they say, “WHY?!” like, why on earth would you come here if you’re already in Toronto?!

I wonder if people are being more anti-Toronto towards you because you’re visiting and they think you’re a good way for them to communicate to Toronto, “you know you think you’re so cool, but we don’t need you, we’re fine on our own, i LIKE how it smells here!”.

Whereas when they talk to me, because I’m paying rent here and working a job here, they know being anti-Toronto towards me would be like writing a letter and not mailing it.

I don’t get why people can’t distinguish city tunnel vision with small town tunnel vision, it’s the same behavior, you know your town well and there’s nothing wrong with other places? People are crazy into their routines and worlds and don’t even know it!

aw sorry that my friends were pre-emptively anti-toronto. they weren’t anti-you, you were cool they liked ya. it’s been really fun! you’re not actually arrogant (despite the pickerel a la princess), i think if some things seem arrogant to some people about what you’ve written here in this post then they’re kinda grasping at straws and lame.

all i really gotta say is…you’ll notice that the stanley cup’s here in your tbay posts but not in any of your toronto posts, i hope the leafs fans like it

Raymi, You’re great regardless of what city you’re in. All the haters can shut up and stop commenting. I do not understand why someone who apparently doesn’t like you continues to come back for more and takes the effort and time to comment. It takes a tough person to come back everyday and post your thoughts, especially when you just know ass holes are going to comment dumb shit. Just know that for every rude comment, there are dozens of fans that adore you.
