The sun will heat up the plastic housing some, and make it hard to see the screen, but the real risk is internal – having your computer bust into flames like some jesus-possesed nutjob in a horror movie. Get your PC up on a flat hard surface (not Fil’s head) so the fan can actually pull in some air. Seriously, a picnic blanket / back yard towel is to smooshy, and will block the air channels.
