The c02 in pop irritates a valve in your stomach that kinda opens it up or something and so the alcohol gets into your blood stream faster. So you will actually get less drunk less fast if you drink vodka straight vs. vodka and pop. That is also why there are so many digestive problems in North America- because of this thing that pop does to your stomach.
