When I was in Grade 3 our student teacher made us all mice ornaments. The mouse laid in a half-walnut shell, with a little felt blanket, and the mouse’s face was an almond, with two little eyes and whiskers glued on. I couldn’t resist biting the almond tip, even though I knew it would ruin the ornament…anyways, 20 years later my parents still hang this on the tree every year and laugh, and laugh and laugh at how I bit the nose off. Geez.

homemade xmas ornaments are the best! my mary and joseph paper ornaments have been making their way to the tree since 1989. mary has pipe cleaner for hair and joe lost a leg around 1995. my mom refuses to give them up.
